... with every player receiving an award from First Team Manager Lee Bradbury for their endeavours this year. This season has been extremely busy for the squad, with a new fully inclusive ethos and team name seeing numbers double in recent months as children with all forms of mental and physical disability joined the team.
With sessions held every Saturday between 11am and 12pm, Head Coach Tim Brown has seen his players act as mascots for the first team, showcase their match skills at half time in front of the Boro faithful, receive more brand new game frames and also new match kit & tracksuit tops for players and coaching staff thanks to sponsors EnSign, Winning Look and the club trustees.
Tim said "Our Spirit of Footballers have trained in all weathers, rain or shine, and have been an absolute credit to the club. I would like to thank the parents, coaches, volunteers and Vicky Crouch our squad physio, for all of the support they have given the team this season - they've all been fabulous." Next season the players are looking forward to playing regular matches against teams from across the region, to playing at St Georges Park in International tournaments, joining the Sussex FA Disability League and hopefully seeing one or two of our squad representing the club at county level.
