...to Brantham Athletic in Suffolk. Brantham, of the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League Premier Division, reached this stage of the competition with a 1-0 win over Spalding United on Saturday. The match will take place on Saturday 22 September.
The Blue Imps currently sit in mid-table, having played only three league games. They entered the FA Cup in the Extra Preliminary Round at the beginning of August, and have dispensed with Wivenhoe Town (5-0 a), Welwyn Garden City (1-0 h) and Spalding United (1-0 h) to reach this stage.
George Clarke's goal on Saturday took the club further than they have ever before progressed in the FA Cup. Terrific times. Congratulations to them, and we are thrilled to be meeting them in the next round. Despite the distance, Borough will no doubt travel in good numbers, and we look forward to making some new friends, and of course to a smashing FA Cup occasion.
