A strong westerly wind were on Boro backs in the opening half, and despite some decent football the home side were u able to make it count. The opening half hour saw Ellis Remy and Simon Johnson efforts wide of the mark and Remy's great header after a Johnson, Crabb combination drew a fine save from Will Puddy.
The seco d 45 presented City withntheir chance to use the conditions. In truth they appeared less able to make the advantage count and the opening goal, on 60 minutes, owed mre to an error than great attacking play.
However Charlie Griffin followed Marvin Williams opener with a great curled effort fro. 20+ yards just 6 minutes later to double the lead - 2 nil City.
Dan Fitchett sealed the points with a 3rd before Gary Hart brought the season to a close on 87 minutes heading home a Matt Crabb corner for a final score of 3-1.
