Beaten ...... But Safe ..... As Boro Lose At 'Stoke But Results Go Our Way
Eastbourne Borough travelled to Basingstoke knowing that a win would secure survival. The win never looked likely after an early goal, but a key win for Farnborough secured Boro's BSBS status.

The importance of the game saw a decent turnout of travelling Boro fans but a lively start that saw another penalty waived away as Hart tumbled in the box was for naught when a quick break in the 8th minute saw Sam-Yorke give his side the lead.
The play-off chasing Dragons then struck the bar with a firm header on 20 minutes before Boro were unfortunate not to draw level when Watson and Hart almost forced the ball over the line, Bayes scrambling back to grab the ball 'trickling' towards his goal.
Sam Cole made a fabulous covering tackle as the hosts started the 2nd 45 down the hill and Walker pulled off a fine save before 2 goals in quick succession sealed Boro's fate. Wes Daly fired home on 56 and Shaun McAuley made it 3 just a minute later.
Boro improved and spent most of the last half-hour in the hosts half , Remy and Ademeno testing Bayes, but the game was lost - Farnborough's win over Havant and Waterlooville the key performance in Boro's survival to fight another season in the BSB South.
