In this important home fixture The Sports started well with Stuart Anderson twice denied by Craig Ross in the Hampton goal, but it was not all one way traffic and Sam Cole was required to make a great 'shot stopping' tackle. With Sports desperate to maintain the momentum in the game and reverse the run or recent defeats it was finally rewarded when a 'training ground' corner was thundered home off the forehead of Alex Lacey for 1-0.

Boro maintained the pressure on H&R but the visitors finished the half strongly with Mitchell Walker making 2 great saves - 1 on 1 and a high tip over the bar to keep his side in front.

Hampton started the 2nd 45 as they ended the 1st, on top, but this time without really troubleing Boro. They then shot themselves in the foot as 2 quick yellow cards for Dean Inman reduced them to 10 men. The numerical advantage swung the game in Boro's favour and Hart and Watson almost extended the lead. The goal finally came on 79 minutes when Ademeno turned in the 18 yard box and fired across and past Ross for 2-0.
