Whilst things may not of been going too well in the cup competitions so far, the league on the overhand has been going swimmingly with Eastbourne still sitting on top of the table with maximum points after what was eventually a relatively comfortable 4-1
The game didn't actually start off to comfortably though with Town actually taking the lead after 20 minutes following a massive defensive disaster from Boro.
Town were pressing all over the pitch and Boro were finding it hard at times to keep hold of the ball leading to a very scrappy affair with neither team really creating any chances.
Boro did manage to draw level before half time though when Town failed to deal with a corner, Macaulay Gray was tripped just inside the box allowing George Robinson to calmly score the resulting penalty.
Always seemed unlikely that Town would be able to keep up their high energy pressing game throughout the second half and this ended up being the case as Boro kept them pinned in their own half for the majority of the second half, grabbing 3 seconds half goals courtesy of Matt Maynard, George Robinsons second and Harry Brown.
Matt's goal came with a slice of luck, with his shot after his fantastic turn created him a bit of space, taking a huge deflection to loop over the keeper.
George Robinsons second was a fine finish across the keeper after good work in the box by Bright Valentino and Ryan Craig found him unmarked.
Goal of the game, goes to Harry Brown grabbing Boro's 4th towards the end of the game, curling into the top right hand corner of the goal from outside the box past the despairing keeper.
With a cup game against Steyning scheduled for next Sunday the next league game won't be until the 14th away to Current second placed team Little Common who from past results should be the hardest test in the league to date
