Squad Update : Creative Midfielder Signs Up

Before the AFC Wimbledon game last Saturday Boro boss Tommy Widdrington added to his evolving squad when he signed Christopher Shephard .....

..... who joins the club from Exeter City. Widdrington commented that "Chris is a creative midfield player who along with his ability also brings league experience at the Devon club to Priory Lane."

Chris made his début for Exeter City, coming on as a substitute in the 89th minute, at home to Grimsby Town, in the 0–0 League Two draw on 18 October 2008. He was loaned to Salisbury City in the 2009–10 season where Widdrington first worked with Shephard, and he later rejoined Salisbury City on a month-long loan deal in February 2011. Chris has also represented Bath City on loan but he has now made the move to the South Coast for the 2012/2013 season.
