Squad Changes At Priory Lane

4 years ago By Lee Peskett

Boro boss Tommy Widdrington has made some changes to the current playing squad ahead of the Basigstoke fixture, strengthening the defence and midfield

Boro have recruited defender Michael Noone. Noone has most recently been at Wealdstone FC and last season was attached to Dover Athletic, boss Nicky Forster releasing him during the close season in May 2012.

Widdrington has also moved to bring in Ben Adlesbury from divisional rivals Truro City. Midfielder Ben has previous experience of Tommy from Salisbury City, from whom he moved to Cornwall this close season.

On discussing the signings Widdrington commented "Michael (Noone) is someone I wanted to bring to the club last year and am very pleased to get him now. He has a background at the Glenn Hoddle Academy as well as his clubs and I know he will improve us in his position on the park."

"It's a real shame for Truro the position they find themselves in," he continued, "but I am delighted to get Ben Adlesbury to The Lane. He will bring a solidity, a physical presence, to the midfield, and a touch of quality also. He also has bags of experience for his age. Very pleased to have him in my squad for the rest of the season."

Welcome both to Priory Lane.
