Potter Departs The Lane

4 years ago By Lee Peskett

Eastbourne Borough can confirm that goalkeeper Danny Potter has left the club by mutual consent.

Danny joined The Sports during the close season. He has recently made changes to his working life and pattern and his new position as a Taxi driver in his home town of Ipswich meant he was unable to meet the needs of the club re training and match preparation without putting undue pressure on his personal life. This, coupled with a physical impact on his body of spending such long hours in a car, led him and the club to agree to his departure. It is expected that he will look to continue his career closer to his Suffolk home.

All at Priory Lane would like to thank him for his efforts during his short spell at the club. He has been a real pleasure to have around Priory Lane and has made a positive impact on all those with whom he has been in contact. Boro boss Tommy Widdrington echoed this sentiment, and added "He arrived with the aim to have a coaching input and Nick Jordan has already benefited from Danny's presence."

Good luck Danny.
