Further Squad Addition

By Lee Peskett

Tommy Widdrington has continued to develop the look of the Borough squad with the loan signing today of Stuart Anderson from Salisbury City FC .....

..... and on acceptance of the paperwork he should be available for the squad this Saturday.

Stuart, aged 25 and born in Aberdeen, Scotland, plays in midfield, and started his career at Southampton before moving onto Blackpool, Ross County, Livingston, Peterhead and Salisbury. In 177 appearances he has chipped in with 21 senior league goals.

Widdrington commented "I am delighted to have Stuart join the ranks at Eastbourne Borough, he is someone I have signed before and he brought a consistency all managers are continually looking for. He was almost ever present in the Blue Square Bet Premier for me in the 2009-10 season  and he played a big part in helping Salisbury City get promoted back into the Blue Square Bet South last season. He has featured almost continually in the 3 years he spent at Salisbury and he is looking forward to a "new challenge" here at Priory Lane. At 25 we are acquiring a very experienced lad with lots of football ahead of him."

Thanks are offered to 'The Whites' and manager Darrell Clarke for agreeing to the loan. Welcome Stuart from all at Priory Lane.
