Potter arrived at the club pre-season and made an immediate impression on the side, but found the transition to part time football combined with the need to set-up his off field business impacted him physically and he departed on mutual and friendly terms to play for Leiston closer to his Suffolk home in September.
Danny has used the intervening time to adjust to the part-time nature of football at this level, and organise his off field activities to an extent that when the opportunity for him to return to Priory Lane presented itself it was an easy decision for Danny and Boro Manager Tommy Widdrington.
"I'm delighted that we can welcome Danny back to Boro", commented Widdrington. "It's no secret that Danny was a big part of my plans both on and off the field but we did not feel we could stand in his way when off field issues took a toll on his position here earlier in the season. That said, with the issues resolved, I am pleased that we made such an impression on Danny that he his happy to return - and I am equally pleased to have him back with his undoubted quality and to add some stability to the vital goalkeeping position !"
Welcome back Danny - and "Potts" goes straight into the Sussex Senior Cup squad for Tuesday evening.
